3. A survey of 58 wholesale grocery companies, scattered over the eastern United States, on their personnel management policies for warehouse personnel.
4. A survey of financial officers of the Fortune 500 corporations to learn their predictions for the economic outlook in their industries in the next year.
5. A study of applicant requirements, job tasks, and performance expectations as part of a job analysis of student work-study jobs on a college campus of 2,000 students, where 1,500 are involved in the work-study program.
Explanation / Answer
1) Personal interview. here, people will have more information to give. Self admisistered questionnaire or telephonic survey consists some pre determined questions which may not be sufficient to collect the information. the type of questions to be asked will be dependent on the responses, detailed discussion might be there. therefore personal interview is more preferred. 2) Telephonic survey: Here, personal interview is not applicable because there is nothing to hide, students are supposed to give their preference among three candidates only, therefore telephonic survey is more applicable. 3) self administered questionnaire: As the wholesale grocery companies are scattered, it is not possible to take personal interviews. telephonic survey generally will have predetermined questions for which only "yes" or "no" responses will be given. getting information about policies is not possible using telephonic survey. 4) Self Administered questionnaire: Though personal interviews is applicable, we can not go to all 500 financial officers to get their predictions. since, the sample size is large and the type of questions that will be asked are same to all we prefer self administered questionnaire. 5) Telephonic Survey: To know about requirements, taks and expectations, we can not go to 1500 students. self administered questionnaire can be given but there will be chance of non-response. since, questions to be asked will be fixed, we can go to telephonic survey.Related Questions
