Write a MATLAB script to fit the following data set obtained from a Vibration experiment, 'polyfit' function in MATLAB cannot be used, however it can be used for comparing your results. Effective displacement response of a mechanical system at a point was experimentally measured at different frequency of excitation and was saved in xls file (attached file with this assignment, 'Vibration_Res.xlsx'). Hence, you have two columns of data. Colum 1 is for frequency (@ 0.01 KHz) and Column 2 (Normalized Displacement) is for effective displacement. Find a suitable fit function using Least Square Method (LSM). Show your interpretation using different order (i.e. order of polynomial 3, 5, 7, 9) of polynomials. Comment on suitable selection of fit function.
