Discuss how adaptations allowed plants to move from an aquatic environment to the variety of habitats they inhabit today. The unicellular photosynthetic organism were categorised under algae which are prokaryotes. They were unicellular and one cell have all the function required for survival. Algae were found in sea and gave different colour based on the wavelength of light penetrate in water were categorised as green,red,brown. Due to space adaptation take place to expand these on land

It started with bryophytes include liverworts and mosses these develpoed roots so that it can remain attached to substrate it is same as that of ecological succession on bare land it can absorb nutrients from soil but were non vascular

It changed the gametophyte and sporophye stages for reproduction

Then evolved to true vasular pteridophytes which develpoed vasular structure

Reproduction take place through sporophyte and gametophyte alteration of generation

Then other classified as gymnosperm and angiosperm

Both are seeded but one is naked other is covered this is the adaptation how these seeds got covered as these required a lot of energy to form and to grow them through complicated process

Different type of adaptation like spine ,creeper, throne,of the buds are seen in higher plants which perform diffrent function but originate from same region is example of homolgus organ

Pneumatophores in saline area are develpoed which let the loss of excessive salt

Epipytes are space parasites
