1/(486 x 10^9) = (1.097x10^7)(1/X^2 -1/4^2) divide both sides by (1.097x10^7), (1/(486 x 10^9))/(1.097x10^7) = (1/X^2 -1/4^2) bring the 1/16 over to the left side (1/(486 x 10^9))/(1.097x10^7) + 1/16 = 1/X^2 now you should be able to solve for X. hope this helps!
