Question
What is the most recent report of the annual inflation rate ofGermany aswell as the type of currency used in that country(I don't know ifit is Geld or Euros as the currency). The equation S=C(1+r/100)^6to find the inflated cost S, in 6 years, of an item, good orservice, where C is the current price of that item in thatcountry's currency and where the inflation rate is r%. Choose anyvalue of C, the current price of an item in that country’scurrency, that you would like.
Include in your post the country, the inflation rate, the type ofcurrency, a value of C of your choice, and the calculations neededto find the approximated inflated rate of C after 6 years.
Thank you
Explanation / Answer
We were in Germany recently, so we know that their currency isthe Euro. A quick web search found Germany's inflation rate for 2009 tobe 2.70% Suppose C = 100 Euros then, six years later, the same item would costyou: S = 100 ( 1 +2.70/100)6 = 100 (1.027)6 =117.33 Euros.Related Questions
