Others point out that television contributes to the high level of obesity among children. Now, we may have to add financial problems to the list. A sociologist theorised that people who watch television frequently are exposed to many commercials, which in turn lead them to buy, resulting in increasing debt. To test this belief, a researcher plans to survey a sample of families across the country.

Explanation / Answer

We have to test people who watch television frequently are exposed to many commercials, which in turn lead to them to buy, resulting in increasing debt.

We use questionnaire survey method to collect information of television viewer from selected sample.

First we notice that we have to choose areas / cityes / villages where  people who watch television frequently are exposed to many commercials. If we data regarding these information then by using simple random sampling without replacement we select such type of areas / cityes / villages. The size of the sample to be chosen in such a way that, It is the representative of our population we use this method because once we select a sample then it may not be selected again.

Variables the researcher should consider collecting data for analysis.

1) How many television channels do you see?

2) Do you fell that to buy television channel to see is costly?

3) What do you expect the prise of television channel to see?

4) Are Companys gives relible facilitys or not to to buy television channel to see?

5) What do you think, Is it costly or cheap to buy television channel to see?

Data types ::- Qualitative variables.

Issues Face in collecting the such kind of data.

1) Is age matter of telivision viewer to give information?

2) Is answers given by television viewers depend on their mood?
