Picking a fruit-flavored bean 11. Not picking a cinnamon bean.

Explanation / Answer

8) Fruit flavoured beans are = Lemon + Pineapple + Grape;
Probability of picking a fruit flavoured bean = (25+30+10) / 100 = 65/100= 0.65
Note: Lemon is classified as a fruit here, else the probability would be 40/100 = 0.4

9) Odds against picking a cinnamon or mint bean = 1 - odds for cinnamon or mint bean
= 1 - (20/100 + 15/100) = 1 - 35/100 = 65/100 = 0.65

10) Picking a fruit flavoured bean = picking a bean than is lemon falvoured or pineapple flavoured or grape flavoured. This is 65/100 = 0.65 as caclualted in question 8

11) Not picking a cinnamon bean = probability of picking any bean other than cinnamon bean = 1- 20/100 = 80/100 = 0.8
