I need help answering question #2 of my study guide I've attached a picture of side 6 from our classes PowerPoint for clairification origin of membrane Ligands Nucleus Tran 1. Transcribed in nucleus Export 2. mRNA transcripts exported out Endoplasmic reticulum Translation of the nucleus via NPC 3. mRNA translated via ER Vesicular Transport associated ribosomes 4. Newly translated protein Sorted and Golgi Apparatus processed Concentrated 5. Transported to Golgi network Vesicular Transport Ligands (cargo) are Plasma Membrane Exocytosis concentrated into vesicles
Explanation / Answer
The genes are transcribed to form RNA. Then they are transported to the cytoplasm where the translation occurs..!!
After the translation the proteins are inserted into the E.R where it undergoes modifications..!! The proteins which are required by E.R are kept in the E.R while the other proteins are being modified by attaching the certain amino acids sequence which helps in recognition of those protein which has to be transported to the other organelles..!! Those sequences are recognised an are transported our from the ER to Golgi bodies in the form of Vesicles where the protein are packed into vesicles ..!! Th vesicles have specific receptors on them which will binds to the specific golgi bodies receptors
In Golgi bodies those transported vesicles from ER comes and fuses with the golgi bodies vesicles resulting in insertion of protein into the golgi body where they are sorted for their own bodies and other proteins of other organelles are transported again.!!
When the proteins specific to plasma membrane reaches it undergo exocytosis and reaches to the other organelles..!!
