As far as I understand the problem, which is not much, we are looking for the angle of two adjacent walls if we go into the xyz-plane.

Pic: http://intmstat.com/vectors/3D-boxes.gifwith the walls being XZ and YZ while XY would be the bottom of the chute.

Please give me well detailed answer. This problem will potentially be on my test, so I will need to be able to understand it and to show complete work for it. Thanks you.

Explanation / Answer

the angle between the two sides is 90 +? where ? is given by Tan? = 1/8 ? = 7 degrees The angle between side 6 and vertically slanted line is 90+7 = 97 and the angle between side 8 and vertically slanted line is 180-97 = 83
