Question

Hi; I need help with my example exam practice; it is not an exam it's a practice example; my exam is Tommorrow so please if someone can help me with more understanding because I already have the answers but I have no idea how are these answers and what are steps or how to solve them please help me. The first one why is it 24%? Second one why is it bimodal ? And how do we know if is it bimodal? I thought it's a right skewed but after looking to the key it's biomodal why it is not right skewed? Explain to me. I will write this first question if it is not clear in the photo: Using a frequency histogram that is given for the weights of a sample of college students. Explanation / Answer

The number of students between 120 and 125 is 40.

The number of students between 125 and 130 is 30.

Together there are 40+30 = 70 students between 120 and 130.

Total number of students = 290

=> Percentage of students between 120 and 130

= 70/290 * 100

= 24.14%

Rounded off, this is 24%.

The histogram is bimodal.

A bimodal is a graph that has TWO MODES or TWO MAXIMA which is clearly seen in the graph. Had the graph been right skewed, then the maximum bar would have been to the left and all other bars would follow in descending order.
