Uses Harmonic Mean Sample Size 9.424. b. The group sizes are unequal. The harmonic mean of the group sizes is used. Type I error levels are not guaranteed.Explanation / Answer
-what type of statistical test is applied ?
answer : An one way ANOVA test is employed to check the soil pH balue at 5 different locations.
which assumptions of the test are being looked at ?? Has it been fulfilled (i.e. Is the assumption correct?) how do you know ?
Answer : We are checking the Homogenity of variance assumptions. It is proved that assumptions is correct with the help of levene's test. We know it by the significance value, which is not significant which provides significance level is greater than 0.05.
-do the groups differ ? How do you know ?
Answer : As F value is greater than the critical value and THe p - value is less than 0.05. So, the means will differ. At least one mean will differ as we reject the null Hypothesis.
if they do differ, what pattern of difference do they show ? Which soils differ in pH???
Answer :Here the site 4 and site 5 soils are different in nature.
