Question
The data is classified to one of two groups: severe (assigned value of 1) and neutral(4). the threshold value that classifies it as mutation or neutral is calculated to be -28.39
Then, how is this threshold value of -28.39 was determined? My thoughts are entropy, information gain based on tree diagraming....? does anyone have any idea? please help.

Explanation / Answer
Here, the data set seems to be normal and the threshold value is the lower limit of the 6 sigma i.e. mu-3*sigma.
