The table completed is given below

Expected Death is calculated i.e

for Brunswick and < 25 population = Age sepcific rates * Age specific population /1000 = 8 * 45000/1000 = 360

the above table is calculated using that method.

(4) Age Adjusted mortality rate for Brunswick = Total deaths / Total population * 1000 = 1045 * 1000/ 1000000 = 10.45 per 1000

Age Adjusted mortality rate for Hinesville = Total deaths / Total population * 1000 = 1190 * 1000/ 1000000 = 11.90 per 1000

(5) We conclude that from the data that crude rate for Brunswick is higher than Hinesville. But age adjusted mortality rate is higher for Hinesville.It is becuase while calculating crude rate, there is different demographic for each city. But, in age adjusted, the demographic is similar for both city. It tells us that for crude death rate method can be employed when demographic of any city is same and age adjusted mortality rate method for different demographich cities/states/countries.
