from that 61 - 10 = 51 are freshmen , english major or both
=> 31 + 37 - 51 = 17
a. the probability that the student is both a freshman and an english major = 17 / 61
b. the student selected is a freshman then the probability that he is also an english major is
=> (17 / 61) / (31 / 61)
=> 17 / 31
