Question

A cryptozoologist wishes to test the hypothesis that foot-length differs among populations of ape-like human creatures. It is commonly believed that all of these populations evolved from a common ancestor, but that Sasquatch and Skunk Ape are more closely related to one another than they are to the Yeti and the Yowie (which are closely related as well). The scientist conducts a one-way ANOVA using foot length as a response variable and species as a random factor with four levels. She rejects the null hypothesis for the ANOVA, and now wants to compare the groups. What kind of comparisons should she use? Which species should she compare? why

Explanation / Answer

The comparision should be between sasquatch and skunk Ape group and the Yeti and the Yowie group. i.e. within variation for one-way anova tests.
