- Research question/ Hypothesis : Effect of poverty on the emotional well being of adolescents. This would be a simple hypothesis wherein there would be the probing of a causal relationship between two variables, one dependent and one independent.

- It is of utmost importance for a study such as this to be taken up, as a large chunk of our society is burdened by these conditions, which makes it an imperative to have a comprehensive understanding about these predicaments in order to help assuage this discomfort.

- Data would be collected through natural observation as well as self report measure, that is, questionnaires that probe the emotional state of mind and also collection of demographic details such age, gender and family income and circumstances.

- Participants would predominantly range from from the age of 16- 21. They would be given all the necessary information required to not have any ethical barriers on the part of the investigator while collecting the required information and statistics from the. A normal setting would be conducive for the questionnaire, and the aforementioned variables and demographic details would dominate the purview of the study.
