There is no doubt the gamification and wearable devices are great technologies and it is taking the humankind forward with its application in various industries. They are always good when they are applied to something that increases the quality of life or productivity of a company. When these technologies are used to monitor the personal things of a person, it leads to the violation of privacy and the people will get offended without any doubt. Even in the workplace, a company cannot track the activities because the employees should be given enough freedom to work. They shouldn't feel like they are working in a prison. Tracking the activities outside the workplace takes this to the next level and this should strictly be avoided from happening. One other technology that is invading privacy is machine learning where the systems are controlling what we want to search on the internet and how we search on the internet. The systems can hear what a person is speaking and suggest things based on the keywords. This is against the privacy of a person and the companies are taking advantage of it in the name is terms and conditions when they sign up for an application or a website. The person should certain technologies and applications only when they are required. Do not trust the third party applications blindly and install them on your devices. Always check for the reviews only before making use of an unknown system or application. Read the terms and conditions before signing up for a service and understand how it is going to affect your personal life. Becoming tech savvy is important but knowing how it might affect your life adversely is also important. Draw a clear line between the required and not required technologies. The technologies shouldn't harm you more than providing you with opportunities.
