Explanation / Answer
1. Eyewitness testimony is an account or set of statements given a bystander or victim in a courtroom, describing what that person observed that occurred during the specific incident under investigation. Although eyewitness testimony should be precise and accurate, this is not always the case as recollections, especially during stressful circumstances, can be subject to distortion.
2. In my view, the second face shown at the end of the video, or “Dave” committed the murder. This is because he escalated the argument in the beginning and began abusing and screaming. Presumably, his verbal agression lead to a physical one.
3. I don’t believe that eye witness testimony is reliable at all. It took me great efforts to remember who the murderer was, even though I was watching the video closely. I would imagine that those who do not get such a close-up view of the incident would face even more trouble.
4. The bystander effect ha definitely occurred here, as any one individual could have intervened when the fight escalated and attempt to calm both parties down.
