Research online several different Asian culture( Japonese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thia , South Korean, etc). Research their language , misic, geography, literature and anither cultural phenomenon. Given the significant differences , why do you believe Asian American are thought of as one monolithic group?Explanation / Answer
Asian Americans are often considered as the monolithic identity subgroup. They tend to represent 19 different countries within America. It is largely ascribed by outsiders and is increasing by the number at a great pace. Fewer than 20 percent of Asian Americans self-identify as "Asian" or "Asian American." Rather, they are much more likely to identify based on their ancestral country of origin or simply call themselves Americans. This means they mostly tend to merge their identity, especially the cultural identity with that of their new one. The roots therefore are essentially masked in very many ways. By considering all Asians to be of one mind, politicians, political parties, and prognosticators mask their diverse experiences, languages, and traditions. Earlier they were essentially underrepresented in the US visibility from different perspectives. Now however, it is becoming less monolithic and attempts are made to avoid discrimination and prejudice in significant ways.
