Explanation / Answer

Q1:

GAG, Hyaline cartilage.

Hyaline cartilage has a rubbery, translucent matrix called chondrin which is made up of chondrin sulphate. Chondrin sulphate is a sulphated glycosoaminoglycan (GAG).

Hyaline cartilage, compression.

Matrix of Hyaline cartilage contains collagen fibers and chondrin sulphate. This cartilage is found in nasal septum, laryngeal wall and in the bone surface within joints. It resists against compression.

Q4.

cartilage, hyaline cartilage , synovial membrane, syndesmosis.

At synovial joints, a layer of somooth hyaline cartilage called articular cartilage covers the ends of bones. Between the two bones there is a space called synovial cavity lined by synovial membrane. This membrane contains secretoru cells which secretes a fluid called synovial fluid that lubricates the joint. Examples of synovial joints are ball and socket, hinge, condyloid, gkiding, pivot and saddle joint.

Q5.

1.Condyloid = Radiocarpel (wrist).

2.Ball and socket = Hip

3.Hinge =Elbow.

4. Pivot = radio ulnar joint.

5. Synchondrosis = Between epiphysis and diaphysis (child)
