Question

Response to a potential Master’s/Ph.D. supervisor. I sent an email a few days ago to a potential supervisor and he reponded saying that he is currently out of town for a few days and that we could meet when he comes back. He said he would send me an email to let me know.
What would be the best way to respond? To let him know politely that I read his email and that I waiting for him to contact me.

Explanation / Answer

It would be nice to write an email or message in case he has left behind a number or a back up contact and inform him, that his email has been received and it would be nice if you can get in touch with him by a specific date until when you can wait.
