I would like to conduct my research on 'personal issues affect professional productivity'. It's a causation study as it studies the effect of personal issues on one's professional productivity. Here, personal issues are the cause while professional productivity is the effect. I will select 50 employees who were very productive in the initial period and left the job due to their personal issues. I would then use interview method to collect data and consolidate the results to validate my research question.
