1 . To be specific , the legal right which I would like to talk about is the 'legal right of women '.
The reason for , why it interests me is that :
Earlier , the women had no rights for themselves . But as the days are passing by , society is also seemed to be evolving as well. Women in their earlier days were regarded as subordinates to that of men. They were somewhat kind of submissive in nature .
The gradual process of evolution of society is something intriguing .
2. The legal right which is outdated is the Abortion law .
The Supreme court is against it , at the cost of affecting the health of mother and baby . It is a criminal act . Aborting child is a criminal offence . Since it is an outdated one , it has worsened the condition of the women . As this law is considered to be a confused one , and is inconsistent with the rights of women .
3. Distributive Justice : It reflects how the fairness of rewards and costs are distributed among the members of a group.
In case of an emergency situation, let's say Floods . Flood in Kerela , has affected a lot of people . It has damaged the properties of people .They are left with no food ,and are starving. Hence , each and every state has decided to contribute something to the flood affected state.
Now the thing is how the resources will be allocated ? Will it be a fair one . Will it reach the ones who are really in need of it? This is what Distributive Justice talks about.
4. B.R. Ambedkar was a well known social reformer who fought for women and dalit rights. He fought for the equality of women . They should be treated equally as par with men. No discrimination should take place. He proposed the right to property to women , in which they will be given equal share of property .
He also proposed right to divorce for women. In this the women can , leave their husbands . It can be of several causes like domestic violence , mental torture etc.
5. Legal rights are the normative , legal rules that a citizen needs to abide by . Eg : RIght to vote is an example of legal right. Citizens who have attained 18 years of age are eligible to cast vote .
Distributive Justice Ethics : It is the fairly allocation of costs and rewards to the members of the group. Eg : Fairness in job is regarded when a person having same period of work experience , equal amount of working hours , etc with that of another person. That is when the fairness in workplace is counted .
