My colleague had recently posted about how tough Japanese clients are, and how difficult it is to handle them, as they expect perfection in everything. He had mentioned many incidents which took place with them. In some cases, the dealings were stopped for a month.
It gives me some ideas, of how to deal with them, as we have some new Japanese clients.
What I can offer him is the ideas to note the specificities demanded by them and to ensure to provide them each time. In my experience, I have handled tough clients. They expect us to be calm and polite with each of their request. Our response should not have even a bit of frustration. The more polite and eager we are to help them, makes them accept what we offer. I have also seen them become polite in return. In one case, I being so polite in ny approach caused them to drop an issue from escalating. Also, i found them being helpful the next time, when I asked for an help for an issue.
