(Answer) (21) The three types of neurons and their functions are:

Sensory neurons – These help activate the sensory stimulations received from the environment.

Motor neurons – These are neurons present in the spinal cord and are part of the Central Nervous System. Their purpose is to help with a seamless coordination between muscles and limbs in order to improve motor functions.

Interneuron – These are neurons that coordinate the functions of the sensory neurons and the motor neurons. This is to make sure that information is passed on optimally between the sensory and motor neurons. In doing so, one’s movements are better in tune with the senses and these impulses are able to communicate with each other.
