PTH stimu- lates certain bone cells to break down bone, the small intestine to absorb more calcium from the diet, and the kidneys to reabsorb more calcium from the blood. As a result of these actions, blood calcium levels rise, and PTH release is then inhibited 3. a. The body systems like respiratory system, digestive system, nervous system and endocrine systems etc are work together to maintain the homeostasis in the body. Circulatory system is the main system inter connected with all these systems and enable the trasport of various stimuli produced by these systems to reach their appropriate destinations. For example, the oxygen is inhaled and respiratory system is responsible for exchange of gases in the lungs. The circulatory system composed of blood carries the gases like oxygen and carbon dioxide to and from various tissues and cells and coordinate with the respiratory system.
Similarly, the food consumed is broken down and digested by the digestive system. The nutrients are absorbed and distributed to various tissues and cells by circulatory system and helps to provide energy to all other systems for their function and maintains homeostasis in the body.
