c. A small business uses the Internet for daily research. Owners have heard that some links are shared by other subscribers in the same area, which might slow down the connection or even pose security threats. Thus, they would like to avoid such a service. They do need a speed of at least 200 Kbps.
d. A farm in New Mexico needs a link of at least 200 Kbps. People on the farm can receive television signals only through antennas. The closest telephone central office is 12 miles away.
e. An Internet service provider specializes in hosting Web sites of small businesses.
f. A cruise ship wants to provide Internet service to vacationers on the third deck. The ship cruises in the Caribbean. The link’s speed must be at least 250 Kbps

A T-3 line will be the best option as it provides data, voice and video @ 45 MBPS. Humdreds of customers are scanning catalogs and going through purchases will require a dedicated line.
c. A small business uses the Internet for daily research. Owners have heard that some links are shared by other subscribers in the same area, which might slow down the connection or even pose security threats. Thus, they would like to avoid such a service. They do need a speed of at least 200 Kbps. A simple DSL Broadband with a min. speed of 200 Kbps will serve the purpose. They need to install firewalls and anti virus softwares to wade of security threats.
d. A farm in New Mexico needs a link of at least 200 Kbps. People on the farm can receive television signals only through antennas. The closest telephone central office is 12 miles away. Cable is the feasible option as absence of telephone line rules out Broadband and dial up. Cable modems can provide extremely fast access to the internet.
e. An Internet service provider specializes in hosting Web sites of small businesses. A simple cable connection will do ( assumption- it is only hosting websites with limited traffic. If it involves E Commerce site, then cable will not be sufficient and one may has to go for a T-3 or DSS-3 line which can transfer high amounts of data.
