2.ans. Buffer capacity is defined by the ability of the buffer to resist changes in its pH.Buffer capacity is expressed as gram equivalents of strong acid or base required to be added to 1 liter of the solution to alter its pH by one unit.

The solution C(pH=8.5) which required 20 drops of 0.01(N) HCl to reach neytralization pH can be adjudged to be the best buffer.
