Do you feel it restricts our ability as scientists to continue making progress in understanding the human psyche? Why is it important to use evidenced based treatments, derived from ethically conducted research, when practicing therapeutic interventions? How does research and "good" science aide the domain of clinical psychology or counseling psychology?Explanation / Answer
Introduction :- Belmont report is a report created by the NCBI (National commision for the protectionof human subject of biomedical and behavioural research) its formed to check the ethical principles and guidelines for research involving human subjects. This report summaries in three important rules in research is :-
? I,, feel that making guidelines for research is good process to give any research an authencity to reach to people, because ultimate goal of any research is to give benefits to people only, then if that ll pass through such guidelines then it ll satisfy the hardwork of researcher too. I dont think that it restrict any freedom of researcher because its required that any research done for the humanity or human growth must not harmed ethically that's why this principles of belmont report ll stop in beginning of research only to do any unethical work`.
I feel like evidence based treatment is more important in reserch because in process of research we search for standardised and reliable results to prove its validity and trutness, then if from starting we follow collect the evidence for our research then ll get the more ethical result of that research with prove, And when we go for thearuptic intervention it is very helpful in predecting result as we can make some hypothetical result on the base of evidence .
That' s why its very important to make any research done on the proper guidelines with the following ethical principles only.
