My company is WalMart and entered in India. Company started its business using foreign direct investment(FDI). Walmart entered India in 2013 with collaboration to Bharti, but this partnership was dissolved. Again Walmart entered India in 2017 through foreign direct investment and has several stores in India. Opening different stores in the name of best price which is a member based wholesale market has proven very beneficial for Walmart.

Company faces low pressure for local responsiveness in the country. Walmart is dealing with member based wholesale market system and its not opening direct market to the customers but opening supermarkets for the retailers, there is no direct contact with the retail customers or locals. This is strategy has provided a positive working structure for Walmart and has improved their working capabilities in India.

Company faced high pressure in starting but on reentering company does not faced any pressure. In the very beginning when the Walmart was entering indian market, several problems including problem with the partner was the main issue which Walmart faced. After the initial problem Walmart used foreign direct investment strategy of entering Indian market which did not face any kind of problems and have been very successful for the Global integration of the company in the country.

Cost benefit is the competitive strategy for the company in India. Company has been very widely using cost differentiation technique for differentiating itself from the suppliers. By focusing on supplying goods to the retailers rather than focusing on the actual customers, walmart has developed a structure of wholesale which is very beneficial in terms of providing better cost to the retailers and to provide larger benefits. Using Its big network and larger inventory, walmart has been successfully delivering low cost products to the retailers which directly affects the overall revenue generation.
