Agile and waterfall methodologies have their strengths and weaknesses. One need to come down to understand the context of the project in the first instance to decide which is the right approach to be adopted or followed? If the project scope is changing frequently then choose Agile. If the project scope is very clear and what is to be achieved at the end of the project is very well understood then choose Waterfall method. Or better yet? Consider taking aspects of both methodologies and combining them in order to make the best possible software development process for your project.

However, there are few positive things about Waterfall method which are discussed below.
