Since you have read and are knowledgeable about various types of databases including relational, NoSQL, and big data databases, Samantha needs your professional advice on what type of database/s to use for her entire (online and on-site) business operations and decision support. (B) She is considering mining the sentiment of her customers, about specialty foods in general, and other businesses in specialty foods from posts on social media sites. She would use this data for decision support such as improving her offerings, pricing, etc. What type of databases should she use for this purpose? Please justify your answer as to why you recommend this type of software. (6 Points)

Explanation / Answer

A) For the case of business transaction I would prefer OLTP (On Line Transaction Processing databases),are used to manage dynamic data in real-time. These types of databases allow you to do more than simply view archived data. Operational databases allow you to modify that data (add, change or delete data), doing it in real-time.

--> The busines operations she could do are looking at orders and deleting the orders and tracking the order so she can use OLTP databases.

B) For the case of decision support and sentimental analysis she suppose to process large amounts of data and this may be in Structure or Unstructured(audio, video, images) so regular databases can not handle this types of data.

Therfore today we have bigdata databases like NoSql( "non SQL" or "non relational") and some times called as "Not Only Sql".

--> Bigdata databases are used for online realtime applications such as Samantha has taken over.

-->Data that generated at online is very huge therefore capturing it and processing it is done by Bigdata databases.
