Spam is an repeated unrequested email which consumes a lot of network bandwidth and may contain malware or lead to phishing sites. There are many techniques to deal with spams :
1 AntiVirus
It can help in removing already present spams in inbox and also block future spams and can scan the mail for any malware or phishing attack.
2. Blacklisting the spam
We can blacklist certain known spam sender and then our email provider will block these spams and move them to trash. It is not perfect prevention but is better than doing nothing.
3. Educate about spam.
We should spread awareness about the dangers of opening spam so that people get educated about spams and help deal with them.
4. Email service
Use email portals which have inbuilt features for filtering the spams, so that we don't have to deal with them. One such email service is Google mail which filters the spams and put the spams in a single folder known as promotions.
