Question

As the Hierarchial IP addressing as the three parts for routing the IP addresses, where 192.168.17.2 as the three parts. 192.168.x.x comes under network part, and remaining parts are divided into subnet and host parts.

I need a non-network example of hierarchical addressing, and discuss how it reduces the amount of work needed in physical delivery. Do not use any example as the postal service, or the telephone network.

Need good explanation for the presented example...... how the hierarchy addressing works in the example.

Explanation / Answer

Mobile Hansets dealership could be an good example of hierarchical addressing. For example Samsung has its main headquarters probably in South Korea. It then has multiple other headquarters around the world in different countries, for example its India headquarters. And then there are thousands of dealerships throughout the various 28 states in India. This hierarchy allows Samsung to deliver mobile phones to certain customers in different regions of India without requiring those customers to order directly from Korea. This certainly reduces the amount of work needed in physical delivery.

This is a classic example of hierarchial addressing.
