f. Explain the concept of a timed asynchronous system model.

Explanation / Answer

Please find my answer:

a.Explain the key features of a real-time system.

Answer:

Reliability - That is, the system can operate for a long time without any interfere of the human

Manageability - The cost of implementation is to be reduced.

Performance - The system should be designed for the purpose of working easier and the workload should be reduced.

Predicatbility - WIthin the given time, the actions shoould be taken and the result to be produced by the system.

b.Consider a fail-safe application. Is it necessary that the computer system provide guaranteed timeliness to maintain the safety of the application?

Answer:

If the system gets failed, then there will be no changes in the output is refered to as the fail state. Yes it is necessary to provide the system that the guaranteed timeliness to maintain the safety of the application in the computer system

c. Explain the difference between a soft real-time system and a hard real-time system.

Answer:

Hard real time systems Soft real time systems

Every deadline must hit absolutely. Some deadlines can be missed

It completes the critical tasks on time. Over the other tasks, the priority is given to the critical real time tasks.

Here the output will be harmful and it cannot be tolerated. Here the output is annoying and also it is tolerable.

Examples: Nuclear systems, Inkjet printer, Aircraft Examples: Sound system, Weather station, video games

d. How does the redundancy type of a hard real-time system differ from that of a soft real-time system?

Answer:

Soft real time system can be tolerable in terms of dynamic redundancy which is not possible in hard real time system.

e. What are the possible approaches to modeling an interface state?

Answer:

Usage centered design

Code- inspection based

Generative programming

Aspect based UI
