1. The student’s action in searching for the loophole was: Very Ethical

She has helped the university in finding loopholes of their system.

2. The student’s action in continuing to access others’ record for two weeks was: Unethical

It is not ethical on her side to access other students' records with out the consent of university.

The system administrator’s failure to correct the problem sooner was: Very Unethical

It is System administrator's job to secure student information. When he was informed about loop hole, it is his responsibility to fix the the issue immediately.

Discuss alternate paths or actions that could have been taken, and why those alternate actions would have been ethical or not.:

1. Although the student has done a great job by identifying the loop hole and informed it to the administrator, it is not ethical to access other student's recoeds. She would have helped administrator in fixing it or just not access others records.

2. System administrator should fix the loophole immediately. Incase, he is not able to fix it immediately, he would have atleast made sure to make server offline so that no one can use loophole until it is fixed
