Answer –A pool of data being collected at our organization. Audit to be carried out for these datasets. The type of audit to be done here is Sampling Audit.

Sampling Audit – Sampling audit means audit is performed for selected sample populations from the population lot. The sample population is selected based on the audit requirements. Sample population is the real representation of the lot population. The benefit of sampling audit is that we can save the time and can complete the target of inspection for the population lot. For an ideal case, one should carry out the audit for all the population lot means 100% auditing. But this 100% audit calls for lot of time and energy utilization. The expense of such a large amount of time and energy for such case is not logical and not beneficial as well. So sampling audit method helps to meet the audit purpose and also lower the time and energy consumption for the audit event.
