Explanation / Answer
If I were a boss and one of my employees was using bad grammar that is reflecting poorly on my department’s performance I would let the person know. I would not be rude about it but I would just tell that their grammar needs to get better so we can be successful. I would volunteer to help them with their grammar if needed. If an employee is saying that they never know what is going on at work, I would break it down for them so that it is easier to understand. Then I would personally look at ways to improve my communication with all of my employees. Once I find the solution I would present it to the employees and make sure that they understood everything that I said. I think communication is a huge skill that people need to have in order to be successful. It is very important because without it you wouldn’t be able to get your point across or your idea across. An example of good communication that I have observed is when I went to school and a teacher was discussing an assignment with the class and the teacher made sure that she got her point across and that there were no questions from her students. Bad communication that I have observed was also at school with a teacher. The teacher did not get the point across on the assignment. After students asked question the teacher was able to answer them and then we had better clarification on the assignment. At first the effect was that the us students didn’t know what we were supposed to do but after we got clarification it was easier to understand. A person that does not give you eye contact is showing you that they are not paying attention and it makes that person look bad. Eye Contact is very important because it shows that you are listening and paying attention to the speaker. I do think it is appropriate to send a thank-you note to a person because it shows that you care for what they did and that you are actually thankful because you took the time to actually write one out instead of saying it. A common form of body language that is often misinterpreted is when a person isn’t sitting up straight. Some people think it’s because you don’t care about what they are saying. Not sitting up straight is how some people are used to sitting and that is why they do it.
