a. The prime issue in the case is the poor performance is the lack of dedication and commitment on the part of part time employees, resulting in shoddy work and delays, that is ultimately affecting the performance.
b. The probable cause of deteriorating performance is lack of monitoring and performance assessment system for part time employees.Another cause can be the lack of motivation that hinders them to see any visibility of long term association with the company. Insufficient wages or lack of integration into company may be other reasons that prevents them to be committed.
