You’ve been hired to create a new information system for a local sporting goods store. The store has three retail locations—one in your hometown and two locations in neighboring towns, one of which has recently opened—and a warehouse that also houses the repair depot. Since customers can go to the repair depot and pick up, drop off, or pay for repairs, the proposed system needs to be put into place at all four store locations. All the client computers used at the stores have Windows 7 Professional installed. The initial budget for development and implementation is approximately $250,000. Explanation / Answer

Enterprise solution software is the best suitable for this type of business. Since it has many modules to store information of different functions like for warehouse, sales, money information etc.

One good example for enterprise solution software is SAP. SAP is systems applications and products which means it stores information about all the things required in a business for each stage. For example if we take any business we have to store the Employee information, business information like if it is manufacturing company then it stores each stage like raw material, goods information, sales information, warehouse information etc like this.

So for this sports goods shop also it is better to install the SAP. The system licence is also not that cost it is under specified budget only.

This SAP software will be installed in the main store and then the application will be installed in all the other 3 stores. Through network this all can connect to main system .

The main Benifit for using SAP is we can design the application based on our requirement. Through this SAP application we can store the service information, sales information and the Employees information as well as customer information. So that we can easily retrieve the data.
