Cloud computing is one of the major trends in IT, and both businesses and consumers are increasingly facing choices about how to provide and use both applications and data storage.

Many in the industry believe that "the cloud" is the future of IT and that, due to increasingly ubiquitous access to the Internet, all of us will be moving toward cloud-based applications and storage.

How do you feel about this? Are you comfortable with most or all of your applications and data no longer being stored on your computing devices but on a remote server instead? What are some of the benefits and challenges of cloud computing, and how do you feel about them?

Cloud Cmputing has been arroud for approximatly two decades.There has been lot of
apprehensions on moving to cloud even though many companied have moved to cloud
and it has been quite beneficial. Approximatly 69% of the business has been moved
to cloud and 18% have plans to move.There is no doubt that today everybody is moving
towards cloud.Cloud computing operates on a similar principle as web-based email clients, allowing users to access all of the features and files of the system without having to keep the bulk of that system on their own computers. In fact, most people already use a variety of cloud computing services without even realizing it Google Drive, TurboTax.Facebook and Instagram are all cloud-based applications.It has many benefits:

1.Cost Saving: Initially it looks a bit costly but as we move on the cloud, the ease
of business operations, easy acces saves a lot of time for companies which ultimatly save
lots od cost in business operations and increase the productivity.

2.Securtity: This aspect is strong. Against the inhouse property, cloud security
is continuously operates for 24 hours.They have very stringent security mechanisms.
Also it is a fact that most of the data theft originates from inside a compamny or
by the employee themselves, so this is totally under control in Cloud.

3.Flexibility:It takes lot of burden from the IT department of the companies as many
time IT department focus takes companies focus away from strategic business goals
Also the returns as compared to the effort goes in the IT department is not very good.
Many times upgrade is required and lots of maintainence is required.This consumes lot
of time.So the moment company is free form such considerations and anywhere easy secure
access is present, it gives lot of flexibility to the companies.
