Research which is better or more secure SSL or TLS - explain and justify your position. Include which one you use today and plan on using tomorrow (including why you would use it).
Answer)
SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a protocol standard for security of the data exchange between a client such as a web browser and a server. SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) uses secure mediums to secure the data exchanges between the 2 or more parties and such as that the data remains encrypted.
Transport Layer Security (TLS) is also a protocol for the security of the exchange of the data between the client and the server and is needed for privacy and the integrity of data between the client and the server.
SSL is the predecessor to TLS and SSL is the older version of TLS you can say. Over the years in the past SSL has been used and has been used in old web servers. Modern web browsers user experience will degrade on using the SSL protection. Many vulnerabilities have contributed to the SSL security standard conversion to TLS and thus TLS is currently being used now in the modern servers and not SSL. TLS is a more efficient and more secure protocol than SSL, using message authentication, material generation and using more secure and better algorithm in the security and privacy front. Thus we will use TLS today and maybe a more advanced version of TLS in the future of client server communication.
