1. Customer Blueprint or layout is not have tolerence. So that while finishing with machine, need to contact with customer to clarify the layout of product. So It got delayed while new product introduction or mass production phase.
Time required to move the raw material from warehouse to production floor was 2 weeks to 4 weeks while any new product material enter in factory. Generally the factory which follow the JUST IN TIME method does not take too much time to move the material. Due to same reason Customer delivery got affected.
Machine process bottleneck sation interrupt the production line. Every week They face the new bottle neck station which causing the accumulation on production line.
2. Large and small orders prepared by same work flow so that small orders required many headcounts for production line. Eastern gear should use the batch production for small orders to decrease the overheads of production line.
Eastern gear process is not fully optimize because they are not fully utilize the machines time so that it increase the customer delivery time. Fully utilization of machines by line balancing method can increase production unit and reflect the overall profit of company.
3. First teeth cutting process are perform in mills according to customer requirement and specification.
Drilling is take place as a second process in which holes are created according to customer requirement.
Next process is grinding in which surface is made in grinding center.
Then it move to heat treating process according to customer requirement.
Finally the quality inspection is performed by operator and move to finished good warehouse for final delivery.
4. Customer blueprint should be clearly define all tolerence and deviation required for mass production avoid the stoppage. Eastern gear should make a criteria for documents details which taken while new product introduction. Eastern Gear should have a check list to verify the blue print.
Easter Gear should use the JUST IN TIME method in which they can maintain customer delivery schedule on time. Need to work on to improve the throughput time by eleminate 8 wastes.
Eastern Gear should prepare a Line of balancing with at least 70 to 80 percent efficieny. It should always be 1 bottleneck sation not more than one. Better LOB will avoid the accumulation on one stage.
