The global issue selected is Religious and ethnic conflicts and the country cited here is Myanmar. Religious conflicts problems occur across the world including China, African countries, South Asia, Iran, Sudan and Saudi Arabia.

The issue of religious conflicts has impacted Myanmar as it displaced large number of Muslim population Rohingyas to Bangladesh and displaced them internally. The Rohingya Muslim population has been denied citizenship since 1982 and they have protested by attacking government offices in August 2017. The government in turn burned the state where most of the Rohingyas population was residing.

Such incidents related to religious conflicts are sensitive to the local populations. The incidents incites the local population to resort to violence to protest against religious crimes and conflicts. The affected people are displaced and lose their livinghood and more prone to criminal activities to sustain. There is overall disruption of harmony in society and resources are directed towards combating the crime and violence rather than progress and welfare. It affects the economy and chances of development. In the world and in general such incidents are disturbing events which misguides people and create an environment of unrest and insecurity. There is less consideration for laws and government authorities.

The possible solutions to the displacement and violence in Rohingyas Muslims case is the ceasefire by government, take measures for resttlement of Rrohingyas muslims, taking help of leaders for providing identity cards to the displaced populations and restoring them in the state. The population needs to be supported to restore normalcy in the region and open dialogue for resolving the problems.

There is common recognition that poverty is the reason behind the actions of affected population and their situation. There should be a collective approach by the neighbouring countries affected like Bangladesh and India with Myanmar. The Rohingyas population have history of association with religious extremists. There human rights cannot be violated. Providing healthcare and education support can increase efforts for peace and cooperation in the region.
