Question
One project i found was Maus Nissan buying an old Harley dealership and starting a used car dealership
The objectives were to buy the dealership that was for sale and innovate the building and lot to work as a car dealer.
The dealership was bought and set up by August 11th 2018 and the used car dealer plans to have they're grand opening September 1st 2018
The second project I found also had to do with that same Harley dealership They opened up a new and improved location right down the road completely new construction. They had to purchase the land then move on to the build of the new sales and service buildings and the grand opening was August 8th 2018
Identify projects assigned in previous terms. Were both sociocultural and technical elements factors in the success or difficulties of the two projects above?
Explanation / Answer
For the first project turning an old Harley Davidson dealership to start a used car dealership must have been much easier as compared to setting up a whole new showroom.
From the technical perspective, renovating Harley Davidson showroom as a car showroom would have been much easier as both of the buildings have very much the similarity of structural provision. Nissan would have saved extreme money on the infrastructure as availability of Pre existing entity would have benefited the organisation in reducing the overall cost involved in making new premises. It also provides easiness in setting up technical devices as the building in which nation is opening new showroom is already being used as an automobile showroom having all the available pipeline and other technical requirements for a showroom. Harley Davidson showrooms are usually known as very high quality material based operational places which somehow definitely provides an advantage to listen as they would already be in a place that is constructed with high quality standards and the renovation process would have been love complicated as compared to the building whole new showroom for the company.
From the socio cultural perspective moving to the Harley showroom would have been somewhat tough for the company. As people usually do not accept one automobile industry to move into other Automobile showrooms place as it directly shows their inability to create or construct new showroom facilities considering a sign of less revenue generation or less effective operational capabilities. All company is using this is specific showroom for used car dealership, it would have definitely set up an image of low cost operational facility that is opened in already existing showroom.
For other project building a whole new Harley Davidson dealership with a better location would have been complicated from both of the technical as well as the socio-cultural aspect.
From technical aspect building a new showroom is definitely much tougher than renovating a showroom. Getting the resources and planning requires proper approach for building a most appropriate showroom for Harley Davidson bikes. This type of approach requires great technical skills as well as also increases the overall cost involved in Operation. Better quality of the material and better supervision is required to make the specific showroom in a better way that could influence people for buying the bike. Technological e learning about the location and having different surveys could be very beneficial for improving the effectiveness of the new showroom that is created at an improved location for better customer experience.
From social cultural aspect building a new showroom is directly a sign of a growing company which is working towards creating a more intuitive customer experience program. As building a whole new showroom with new place directly provides an idea of a valley company affecting the customers in a positive way to buy the product. Sociocultural Harley Davidson would be benefited by this is specific approach as the new showroom is already being opened at a better location and building this is specific showroom at a new place would provide additional support to the overall brand image of Harley Davidson
