A bad atmosphere is developing in the company, and recently several talented employees left. Your job is to help Achieva's managers solve these problems quickly and keep the company on the fast track.
What kind of management changes need to be made to solve them?
Explanation / Answer
In my opinion it is high time that Achieva should switch to a formal structure as the business as well as the number of employees is growing. A growing organization would not be able to operate informally as good management with proper hierarchy is very important to control the business and address the issues. Proper delegation is essential and the accountability as well as responsibility should be defined to ensure that the employees are following the process. I would suggest the management to clearly define each and every role and give them in writing so that the employees cannot interpret their roles in any other way. The hierarchy should be clear to all the employees and it will help them to understand who reports to whom and the managers need to make sure that their team members are performing well. The managers should listen to the employee issues and take necessary steps to address those issues. The managers are responsible for motivating the team members by adopting relevant strategies and should treat all the employees equally. A good leader would be able to motivate the team to develop innovative ideas, improve employee commitment and reduce attrition. Hence I would suggest introducing rewards for managers also along with employees who perform well in each quarter.
