I am always concerned about privacy of the digital data in the organisations, in social media or even in the college. Our Digital information is exposed to a huge risk. Our everyday activities are being updated on the social media platforms and this is present scenario that this information are getting acquired by multiple companies and being sold to other companies which is been used for targeted advertising as well as studying the mass behaviour.

This information can be very harmful for an individual as it provides extensively detailed information about an individual. This issue is critical and exposure of the personal data over the internet and to the digital medium is increasing day by day. I personally experienced this issue when I receive the call regarding some advertisement and I ask about the source and they actually told me that they bought the data from some database company.

Many of the people get scammed everyday and all this happened because of lack of privacy of data. This specific bridge in data happens because we are not prepared for the security breach and we were very passive about our availability of the information over the internet as a social media platforms.

This incident made me think about the privacy concerns over the internet and over different social media platforms. Maintenance of privacy is a really tough as I have tried maintaining my social life as well as putting privacy on each and every place I visit over the internet. I was amazed to see the level of public things I have done . Maintenance of this is specific privacy concern was very tough.

After researching about maintenance of the privacy over internet I came to know about following things for creating a better environment for us to be safe while we are exposing ourselves to the internet.

We should really be using VPN as it directly changes the location of yours at the current time and provides an anonymous identity over the internet so nobody can track you and can track your activities over the internet which is required to impersonate your life as well as your presence.

Less amount of active data or activities should be added to social media so with which the person who wants to harm you cannot acquire data from the social media websites and could not use it against you.

Location services should not be shared with each and every application in your mobile as well as computer. These applications a report a real-time location of your that could be very harmful if somebody wants to do some harm to you.

By using custard Network and not entering the public network without VPN and antivirus should also be in your list to maintain your privacy over internet and to skip the scam as well as fraud.

Updating the operating systems as well as running latest security issues by your service providers and also be very beneficial for protecting your privacy.

I want to change this specific privacy thing for everybody. Something should be developed which could directly prevent all of these things from happening at just one click. Is internet is an underwear part of our lives protecting it is our responsibility and protection of our self from the misuse of the services is also our responsibility which can only be done by maintaining these factors into a person's life. I will definitely try to improve my situation according to these factors I have learnt and I would be adding some more factors as I go ahead in the direction of saving my personal identity over the internet.
