(1) List reasons internal and external reasons why organizational change can become a necessity.
(2) "Thinking", "Behavior" and Infrastructure are said to be the 3 most important elements to consider for an organizational change. Which do you deem most important and why?
(3) Research "Organizational Change Models". Choose two. Identify them and set forth their steps below. Use appropriate detail so that readers will understand each step.
Explanation / Answer
(1) Organizational change is the organization's attempt to change the environment workplace by changing its technologies, strategies, processes etc. inorder to increase the efficiency with low costs.
Internal reason :-
1. Strategic changes are done to improve the efficiency of organization with low cost advantage.
2. Sometimes changes in the workplace planning is necessary to motivate the employees in the organization.
3. Organization may sometime face loss of revenue, low profitability and because of this reason they need to restructure themselves.
4. When there is low resources due to some problem, changes can help organization to regain those resources needed for production.
External reason :-
1. Economic factor can be an important reason for a change in the organization. During inflation and deflation companies need to change themselves according to it.

3. Sometimes due to government regulations also organizations are forced to change their strategies for production and sales.
4. According to customer's preferences, organizations also need to change themselves to better serve their customers.
(2) According to me, the most important element to consider for an organizational change is Thinking. It is because that thinking of a leader can forge an organizational structure. So if a leader can effectively communicate with his employees and make them understand the ideas for efficiency in the organization, then they also can behave according to the idea. Their thinking can help the organization to change according to its needs. Consequently, the infrastructure can also change. The process which can help to produce more and with that technology also helps to maintain a high level of organization.
(3) Lewin’s change management model :-
Lewin's model is very common for many of the businesses. It is mainly implemented for easy succeed.
There are 3 steps :-
i) Unfreeze - Fírst organizations need to stop their processes. Then they have to look into for the potential improvements are needed to be done no matter how many resources and how much time are needed.
ii) Make the changes - After identifying the changes are needed to be done, it is high time to make those changes. The team are needed to be guided according to that with proper communucations.
iii) Refreeze those changes - After making all the changes, its time to again freeze the processes. Employees will be more involved in the changed management as they helped the organization to change it. They will genuinely try their best to succeed.
