-          Business case feasibility – this may arise due to the incomplete financial modelling and not considering what kind of legal and economic barriers may appear and resources needed to enter in the new market

-          Usage of currency hedging in terms of cost and availability

-          Current market conditions, practices and standards followed for the construction

-          Local labor issues or non- availability of the high-quality professionals

-          Insurance coverage with respect to the local projects considering local or foreign jurisdictions

-          National employment gets affected by local laws and contracting conditions

-          No robust rule on expropriation

-          Political stability in case government pays the revenue

-          Social stability in case of any social unrest or violence related activities

-          Government relationships with the international construction company and the type of involvement during construction

-          Fail to understand local regional traditions and local business practices

-          Poor dispute resolution and enforcement mechanism which may get missed in the negotiation contract
