General electric company has its operation as technology, media and financial service company which was founded in 1892 and based in Fairfield. The important major products are oil, gas and reliable power, management of energy efficiently.

The horizontal analysis includes ratios used along with time perspective of financial statement. The company experienced downtrend during 2015-16 period and its increase by around 0.05 percent. The operating income had stopped and decrease by 14.1 percent. There has been decrease in the total cost in the last three years and 2015-16 saw increase by 2.3 percent. It can be seen that the proportion of total assets has decreased over the last three years and the period of 2015-16 saw decline in the total liabilities by 7.2 percent and marginal decrease. A gradual increase of 8.8% was observed in the final period.
